A Henn. Co. Medical Examiner Shares Insight Into Her Job

You might think the life of a medical examiner is macabre, but that’s not the case for Dr. Lindsay Thomas of Hennepin County. Thomas says last year the county did about 1,100 autopsies, including about 77 homicides. “It’s really the minority,” Thomas said. She goes into each case with a presumption based on the evidence.

Man Pleads Guilty In Homicide; 3 Others Charged

One man pleaded guilty Friday and three other people were charged in connection with the stabbing death of a man in a Fargo parking lot last month. Wade Garrett, 19, pleaded guilty in East Central District Court to felony murder in the March 14 death of 26-year-old Rolandas House, whose body was discovered near a grocery store on the city’s south side. Police say Garrett stabbed House multiple times.

Missing Foley Man Died For Gunshot Wound

he death of a Foley man, whose body was found last Tuesday after he was missing for nearly four months, was the result of a gunshot wound. According to the Benton County Sheriff’s office, 31-year-old Jamie Wylie was found on the side of a County Road 75 east of St. Cloud last Tuesday.

Maplewood Man Mourns Loss Of Brother, Killed By Father

The brother of a man who was murdered by his own father speaks on the tragedy that has rocked his family. On Monday, police arrested a man for the murder of his own son. The father shot his son during an argument over cable TV. Police said 84-year-old Pang Vang turned a rifle on his 36-year-old son Chue Vang inside the home they shared in Maplewood, Minn.

A 24-year-old man has been convicted for killing a 17-year-old seven years ago in Minneapolis. Minnesota Public Radio News reports Tarius Gresham admitted this month to killing 17-year-old Sterling Horton in 2006 near North High School in Minneapolis.

2 Killed In Friday’s Eden Prairie Standoff ID’d

The identities of the two suspects killed in Friday morning’s police chase-turned deadly shootout have been released. According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s office, the deaths of Matthew Vincent Serbus, 36, and Dawn Marie Pfister, 34, have been ruled as homicides, with multiple gunshot wounds listed as the cause of death for both. The duo were killed after a police standoff in Eden Prairie at Highway 101 near Dell Road, which began as a high-speed chase in Chaska on Highway 212.

Police: 1 In Custody After Minneapolis Homicide

One man is in custody after a homeowner was shot and killed in north Minneapolis late Friday morning, according to police. Minneapolis Police were called to the 3700 block of Aldrich Avenue North at about 11:46 a.m. on a report that a man had gone into a residence and told the homeowner to call police.
