Catholic Hospital Asked To Cut Ties With Doctor

A La Crosse couple says they want a local Catholic hospital to sever ties with a doctor who they say performs abortions. Leif and Karen Arvidson say Dr. Carl Rose advised them of the option of an abortion at a visit to Mayo Clinic Health System-Franciscan Healthcare in La Crosse in 2012. Karen Arvidson also says she was told later she could have an abortion at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Woman Struck, Injured By School Bus Near Target Field

A woman is in the hospital after being struck by a school bus in downtown Minneapolis early Thursday afternoon, according to police. Shortly after noon, the woman was hit by the bus near the intersection of 3rd Street North and 2nd Avenue North and was trapped underneath for a period of time.
