Norman County authorities say they believe the death of a hunter in northwestern Minnesota was an accident. The Norman County sheriff’s office got a call from the man’s family around 7:45 a.m. Saturday that he had not returned from hunting.
The Minnesota Court of Appeals has reversed the manslaughter conviction of a man accused of pulling down a deer stand while another man was in it. An appeals panel ruled 2-1 Monday the trial court should have acquitted Kevin McCormick.
A 63-year-old man died while hunting near Alexandria Sunday, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
