It’s back. A couple of years ago, Ice Castles premiered a couple of years ago at the Mall of America, and now it’s making an appearance at Eden Prairie’s Miller Park.
Cheer up, the weather is getting warmer. Or at least it’s not going to be quite as ridiculously cold. OK, so we’ll still be below average for this time of year. For that reason, here are a few great ideas that will (mostly) keep you indoors.
A winter wonderland will soon be open to the public. Two years ago, Brent Christensen built an ice castle outside of Mall of America. This year it’s back, but at Miller Park in Eden Prairie.
As December draws to a close and the New Year arrives, there’s still plenty to do.
Once again, one of the most popular displays at the St. Paul Winter Carnival is not around this year. But if you want to see ice castles of years past, you’re in luck. Replicas of all the ice castles from past years are on display, built to scale. The builder makes sure they all look exactly the same as when their larger counterparts were built.
The ice castles out at the Mall of America has been so popular, it’s staying open a bit longer.
