Sawyer County dive teams have located the body of a 41-year-old man who went missing in Lac Courte Oreilles Lake.
The Grand Rapids Police Department has identified the 5-year-old boy who drowned after going under the water in Crystal Lake Saturday.
Authorities have identified the officers involved in the shootout that left a deputy injured and a man dead earlier this week in Crow Wing County. Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl said deputy Scott Goddard received a gunshot wound to the shoulder during the shootout. Both Goddard and fellow deputy Adam Kronstedt, who was also involved in the confrontation, remain on administrative leave.
A jogger struck and killed Thursday afternoon after a van crossed the center line has been identified as a 19-year-old Phillip Gregory LaVallee, of Otsego. The Wright County Sheriff’s Office said the incident took place at 12:09 p.m. on the 8300 block of Wright County Road 19 in Otsego, Minn.
A postal worker who was hit and killed in a June 18 incident at the Brooklyn Center Post Office has been identified. Police said the postal employee was backing their truck up to the loading dock when it struck another employee who was on foot.
Three suspects accused of stealing checks, cash and gift cards while crashing a wedding reception have been identified by police.
Sheriff’s officials have released the name of a 14-year-old boy who died in a swimming accident in Voyageurs National Park in northern Minnesota. St. Louis County authorities say Briggs Anderson of Fergus Falls was with a church group touring Rainy Lake by houseboat when the accident happened Monday evening.
Authorities in Chisago County said Tuesday they are looking for a missing man who apparently jumped into the St. Croix River from the Franconia Landing Monday and hasn’t been seen since. The Chisago County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene Monday on a report that somebody had not come up after jumping in the water.
The identity of the woman killed in a fire on Friday has been released. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner said Kelly Ann Dugan, 50, of Minneapolis, died of smoke inhalation in the fire, which occurred on the 4500 block of Minnehaha Avenue South.
An alleged drunken driver has been arrested and identified in a St. Paul hit-and-run that injured a 7-year-old boy Tuesday evening.
The man who was shot and killed in a shooting on the Fourth of July has been identified. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner said 26-year-old Muhyadin Mohamud Farah died of a gunshot wound to the chest on Thursday.
Authorities have identified the 55-year-old Hibbing man who died Thursday morning after falling from his deer stand in St. Louis County as Bruce Richard Stone. According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, the call came in at 11:24 a.m. Thursday on the 1500 block of Highway 5 after the victim had fallen from his hunting structure. He had been working on the deer stand’s roof when the accident occurred.
A Richfield man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a 20-year-old man who was shot last Saturday. At 4:40 p.m., police responded to reports of shots fired on the 6900 block of 16th Avenue South.

St. Paul Police say they will hold a press conference Thursday afternoon to reveal the identity of the body that was pulled from Mississippi River Wednesday. Authorities wouldn’t give any details about the identity — or if the body was a man or a woman — but said they will hold a press briefing at 3:15 p.m.
