2 Men Filed Civil Lawsuits Against Crosier Seminary Clergy

Attorney Jeff Anderson said Tuesday one man was molested at about age 15 to 17 by a priest and two brothers who were assigned to the seminary and the other man was sexually abused by the same priest, another father and a brother when he was about 14 to 15 years old.

Third Civil Suit Filed Against Shattuck-St. Mary’s

A third civil suit was filed Tuesday in a Rice County Court against Shattuck-St. Mary’s School in Faribault, Minn., alleging that administrators knew a teacher had engaged in sexually-inappropriate behavior with male students. The student who filed the suit claims his was abused during the 2000-2001 school year by Lynn Seibel, according to the law firm of Jeff Anderson and Associates. Seibel was both a drama teacher and was a “dorm parent,” who lived with some of the students.

Another Lawsuit Alleges Sexual Abuse From A Twin Cities Priest

Another victim came forward on Tuesday, alleging she was sexually abused by a Twin Cities Catholic clergy member. St. Paul attorneys Jeff Anderson and Mike Finnegan announced a new lawsuit, claiming that the Rev. Robert Thurner sexually abused the woman, identified as Jane Doe 23, when she was a child in the 1984-85 school year.
