Chipotle’s Cultivate Festival is returning for a second year to Minneapolis’ Loring Park this weekend. The one-day festival, created by the chain of Mexican restaurants in 2011, celebrates local and sustainable food by inviting people to learn more about where their food comes from.
A Minneapolis chef has been named one of the best in America with the 27th annual Best New Chefs award given out by Food & Wine Magazine. Jim Christiansen of Heyday in Minneapolis was named one of the 10 best new chefs in America, according to Food & Wine Editor Dana Corwin.
Several Twin City institutions, restaurateurs and chefs were named among the semifinalists for the 2015 James Beard Awards Wednesday. The semifinalists were chosen by the Restaurant and Chef Awards committee from a group of over 35,000 submissions nationwide .
