inneapolis Police have recovered two stolen vehicles used in a crime spree across the Twin Cities. Now they’re looking for those who are responsible. The van and car were stolen from the Summit Neighborhood in St. Paul sometime late Friday night. The thieves used the vehicles to store other stuff they had taken.
A concussion and a broken nose are the physical signs of what happened Tom Lancaster early Saturday morning near the West Bank of the University of Minnesota. “I spent a lot of the day vomiting,” Lancaster said. But he says the group of four men that robbed and beat him hurt his sense of security the most.

Minneapolis Police are asking for the public’s help in catching the man who attacked two women in a downtown Minneapolis parking ramp. The separate attacks happened Tuesday afternoon on the seventh floor of Ramp C, on the corner of 4th Street and 2nd Avenue North. Police say the attacks in broad daylight are cause for heightened public concern.
Police are continuing to investigate after a SUV ran into Minneapolis bus stop and left one person dead Monday evening. Billie Weaver, 45, was killed as she waited for her son to pick her up from McDonald’s Monday evening.

Two people are dead after two separate incidents occurred overnight in south Minneapolis. One was shot, the other stabbed. The shooting happened just before midnight Friday on the 2700 block of Blaisdell Avenue South.

A new survey from Public Opinion Strategies of Washington, D.C. reveals that 14 percent of parents say they’ve left their children alone in a car. For parents of children under three years old, that percentage jumps to 23 percent. The study also found fathers are three times more likely (23 percent) than mothers (8 percent) to leave kids in cars.
Minneapolis Police say a juvenile was shot while walking down a north Minneapolis street early Wednesday night. Police spokesman John Elder says the young male was walking on North Lowry and Logan avenues around 6 p.m. when he heard gunshots, and soon realized he had been shot. The juvenile sought help nearby and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
A woman suffered critical injuries Wednesday night when she was hit by a commercial truck in a busy shopping center near Lake Calhoun. John Elder, a Minneapolis police spokesman, says the woman had been waiting at a red light at 6:15 p.m., trying to cross West Lake Street.
