The deputy chairwoman of the Minnesota Republican Party is stepping down to devote herself full time to her state House campaign. Kelly Fenton says Monday that she’ll stay with the state GOP through the end of the year.
The deputy chairwoman of Minnesota’s Republican Party says she’ll run for an open state House seat in Woodbury. Kelly Fenton filed Friday to run for House District 53B. The seat’s being vacated by Republican Rep. Andrea Kieffer, who’s stepping down after two terms.
The state Republican party has elected Kelly Fenton its new deputy chair. In that role she’ll also serve as the interim state party chair, following the previous chairman’s abrupt resignation Friday.
