The Minnesota Vikings have a long tradition of having very good defensive tackles. They drafted Sharrif Floyd in the first round of the 2013 draft in hopes that he can continue the trend. He learned a lot of from former teammate Kevin Williams and slimmed down in the offseason to reach his full potential. This season should be the beginning of the Floyd era in Minnesota.

Patterson Propels Minnesota Vikings To Victory In Metrodome Finale

The Minnesota Vikings closed the history of Mall of America Field with a victory Sunday by beating the Detroit Lions 14-13. Cordarrelle Patterson scored two touchdowns, one rushing and the other receiving for the only two Vikings scores. The Lions scored 13 straight points in the second half to take a lead, but could not keep the Vikings from scoring the winning touchdown.
