Richfield police are investigating the death of a 48-year-old man. Police say officers responded to a 911 call at about 5 a.m. Sunday, after the caller indicated an assault was in progress. Lt. Mike Flaherty says officers found the victim with multiple puncture wounds. He died at the scene.

The last of three men charged with killing a man by jumping on him “like a trampoline” has pleaded guilty. Tony Baker, 34, of Brooklyn Center, was originally charged with second-degree murder in the death of 41-year-old Kerry Scott. A Dakota County dog kennel owner accused of drowning puppies has been convicted of felony animal cruelty. A jury on Friday convicted 62-year-old Dayna Bell of Northfield on 13 counts. She was acquitted on one count.
