The trial of a man accused in the death of his 30-year-old wife has been delayed until July. Kira Steger Trevino’s 39-year-old husband, Jeffery Trevino, appeared in court on Wednesday. He appeared expressionless, not once glancing out at the courtroom observers.
New details have been released in the death of a 30-year-old St. Paul woman who was last seen on Feb. 21 before being found in the Mississippi River last week.
The search continues at 10 a.m. Saturday for a missing Eden Prairie woman. Mandy Matula has been missing since last Wednesday after she was seen with her ex-boyfriend David Roe.
Less than 24 hours after the body of a missing St. Paul woman was pulled out of the Mississippi River, court documents revealed chilling details in the death of Kira Trevino. Her body was discovered Wednesday along the Mississippi River in St. Paul by a worker near Shepard Road and Roberts Street.
The search for 30-year-old Kira Trevino is finally over.
For more than two and a half months, Trevino’s family had been left wondering what happened to her. During an interview with WCCO in February, just days after she went missing, her mom, Marcie Steger, said Kira could bring out the best in everyone.
St. Paul Police say they will hold a press conference Thursday afternoon to reveal the identity of the body that was pulled from Mississippi River Wednesday. Authorities wouldn’t give any details about the identity — or if the body was a man or a woman — but said they will hold a press briefing at 3:15 p.m.

On Friday, Kira Trevino’s mother and father talked with reporters to reignite search efforts for their missing daughter, and St. Paul police announced a $5,000 reward is now offered to anyone who can help find Kira.
In their first search since the ice thawed, authorities sent a single boat out on Keller Lake Tuesday to search for the body of a missing woman.
Several searches are planned this weekend to find evidence related to the disappearance of Kira Trevino – the St. Paul woman who was last seen on Feb. 21.

The St. Paul man accused of killing his wife and hiding her body entered a plea of not guilty to charges in Ramsey County Court Friday.
