MN Orchestra Nominated For Grammy In Midst Of Dispute

Despite being in the middle of a labor dispute, the Minnesota Orchestra continues to shine. The orchestra’s latest album was nominated for a Grammy Award Friday night in Los Angeles. Tony Ross is one of the musicians, and he says it’s a really big deal. “Especially if the orchestra is not in Nashville, or Los Angeles or San Francisco.” Ross said. He said that’s because there are not a lot of voting members in this community.

Sugar Workers Can’t Get Unemployment Benefits

North Dakota workers with Moorhead-based American Crystal Sugar who are locked out in a contract dispute have been declared ineligible for unemployment benefits.

Frazier Says Vikings Coaches Side With Owners

Minnesota head coach Leslie Frazier says Vikings coaches stand firmly behind their owners in the NFL labor dispute and were not consulted before the NFL Coaches Association filed a brief supporting the players.
