The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s office has determined that a woman found dead in Pine Lake early Sunday morning had a blood-alcohol level that was more than two-and-a-half times the legal limit. Police responded to a report of a one-car crash in Hammond Township near Pine Lake just after 5 a.m., but found the car unoccupied at the scene.

And to help keep everyone safe on the water, the DNR is ramping up patrols to crack down on drunken boaters. Friday marks the start of “Operation Dry Water” across the state. Boaters caught operating under the influence will have their boats impounded and could even be banned from boating.
