Mpls. Schools Receive $550K Grant To Improve School Lunches

Over the years, school lunches have gotten a bad reputation. But recently, there have been many new efforts to improve the taste and nutrition of cafeteria food. Life Time Fitness announced Tuesday that its foundation is awarding a $550,000 grant to Minneapolis Public Schools. The money will be used to purchase new food-service equipment and enable the nutrition staff to remove unhealthy ingredients from school menus.

Two men were charged Tuesday after police say they beat and robbed a man in the locker room of a Life Time Fitness in Eden Prairie, according to the Hennepin County Attorney.

Police Investigate After 2 Assaulted, Robbed In Eden Prairie

Eden Prairie Police are investigating after two victims were assaulted and robbed about an hour apart. In the first incident, officers responded to a 911 call around 5:50 p.m. Sunday to the Life Time Fitness at 6233 Baker Road.
