A community in western Minnesota is rallying around a grieving family. Fifteen-year-old Brennon Johnson was kayaking this past weekend when he drowned on Lobster Lake in Douglas County. He was wearing his life jacket but couldn’t be saved.
A 15-year-old kayaker drowned on Sunday in western Minnesota, officials say, when his kayak apparently capsized and he wasn’t able to exit the craft. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says a Montevideo woman called them just before 5 p.m., saying that her son hadn’t returned to their campground at Wildridge Campgrounds on Lobster Lake.
