An East Bethel, Minn. horse breeder has been cleared of 35 counts of animal cruelty because searches of his property were conducted without a warrant.
An East Bethel, Minn. horse breeder has been charged with 35 counts of animal cruelty after an investigation showed several horses weren’t receiving proper care.
For the second time in two months, horses have been taken away from an Anoka County ranch. Agents with the Animal Humane Society along with Anoka County Sheriff’s deputies took seven horses from the Arabian Horse Ranch in East Bethel on Friday.
The Animal Humane Society in Anoka County has taken possession of 10 weakened horses after protesters alleged animal neglect.
It was earlier this week when authorities seized the first of 10 allegedly malnourished horses from Lowell Friday’s N.V. Arabian Ranch in Anoka County.
Only two malnourished horses were taken from an East Bethel farm on Monday afternoon, but more might be taken as early as Tuesday, investigators said.
