Metro Transit’s 11-mile Green Line light rail system running from downtown St. Paul to downtown Minneapolis begins service exactly one month from today on June 14. The route promises greater access throughout for the Twin Cities and metro area suburbs.
Crews working on the Central Corridor light rail line that will connect downtown Minneapolis with downtown St. Paul reached a milestone on Wednesday. The line was officially joined with the existing Hiawatha LRT line in Minneapolis.
Beginning late Thursday, June 21, motorists in the eastern metro area should expect delays as closures take place inside the I-35E/I-94 Capitol Interchange in St. Paul.
