A 24-year-old Minneapolis man who was shot and killed in north Minneapolis Friday has been identified.
One person is dead after a shooting in Minneapolis Friday night. Police say an altercation began inside the North Side Food Market on the 3500 block of Lyndale Avenue North at about 9:30 p.m.
Sources tell WCCO that a body recovered from the Mississippi River Saturday afternoon is believed to be that of missing 10-year-old boy Barway Collins. The Hennepin County Sheriff’s office has been at the scene near 53rd Street North and Lyndale Avenue North at North Mississippi Regional Park
A man was shot and killed after stepping off of a Metro Transit bus Thursday evening in north Minneapolis. Police say the fatal shooting happened near Penn Avenue North and North 26th Avenue just before 7 p.m.
Three separate shooting incidents in Minneapolis leave two dead and four others wounded early Saturday morning, according to Minneapolis Police. The first shooting happened just after midnight at a residence on the 3400 block of Dupont Avenue North. When police arrived, they found the victim had already died. Two other men were also wounded but are expected to survive. An adult male has been taken into custody for this shooting. The male was one of the two men taken to the hospital.
A man is in the hospital Saturday after an overnight shooting in Minneapolis. Police said the incident took place around 10:30 p.m. Friday on the 4600 block of Lyndale Avenue North. The victim was shot in the chest and was taken to North Memorial. His condition is not yet known.
Minneapolis Police and Crime Stoppers are teaming up to catch the man responsible for shooting a 14-month-old girl and two teens, one of whom was pregnant. According to police, the shootings happened on the early evening of August 20 on the 2900 block of Lyndale Avenue North in Minneapolis. MyKhalea Smith, 14 months old, Trenay Smith, 19 and Javar Smith, 17, were all on the porch of a residence when an unidentified man walked up and began shooting at them. MyKhalea was shot near her shoulder, while Trenay and Javar were both shot in the leg. Trenay was pregnant at the time.
Police are asking for help finding a suspect who shot a man Wednesday in north Minneapolis and left him with injures that will likely handicap him for life.
