An eastern Minnesota woman faces charges after authorities say she was seen punching her 2-year-old son in a store’s parking lot. Thirty-four-year-old Vanessa Lee Dicus of Burnsville is charged with malicious punishment of a child following the suspected incident last week.
According to the criminal complaint, 24-year-old Tashay Caprice Johnson chased her stepson through Dayton’s Bluff Achievement Plus Elementary, threatening him, while the visibly-injured 9-year-old screamed “My mom is trying to kill me. Don’t let me go back to her.”
