Vikings Guard Fusco To Have Surgery Monday

Minnesota Vikings right guard Brandon Fusco will need about four months to recover from his upcoming surgery for his torn pectoral muscle. Fusco says he’ll have the operation Monday with a specialist in New York. He was hurt while blocking last week in the game at New Orleans.

Team Grades: Minnesota Vikings Put Up Fight, But Fall Short In New Orleans

The Minnesota Vikings fell to the New Orleans Saints 20-9 Sunday at the Superdome. The offense could not get into the end zone, settling for three field goals instead of getting touchdowns. The defense struggled early, but settled down and kept the team in the game. The special teams were good, with the exception of the punt return unit.

The Minnesota Vikings were blown out by the New England Patriots 30-7 Sunday in the team’s home opener at TCF Bank Stadium. The Vikings scored first, but surrendered 30 straight points to lose. There is nothing positive to say about the game. Every aspect of the game was bad for the Vikings.

Brady, Patriots Bounce Back To Beat Vikings 30-7

The New England Patriots took full advantage of Adrian Peterson’s absence, though he might not have made much of a difference. Six sacks, four interceptions from Matt Cassel and a blocked field goal for a touchdown doomed the Minnesota Vikings Sunday, as the Patriots breezed to a 30-7 win, coach Bill Belichick’s 200th.
