After a day of funnel clouds and heavy rains, at least one Minnesota county in the central part of the state has reported damage.
The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office said a deputy is on paid administrative leave after it received a complaint of assaulting another officer. Authorities said they received a complaint that on Feb. 17, Deputy Taylor Fenrich assaulted another officer.
A 27-year-old man died Wednesday and a 21-year-old woman was hospitalized after carbon monoxide in their western Minnesota home on Wednesday, according to the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office.
A 23-year-old man from southwestern Minnesota died Saturday after falling while doing work on his roof, according to the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities responded to a report of a medical caused by a fall at about 6:27 p.m. on the 65000 block of Highway 12 in Darwin Township.
A 1,200-pound Black Angus bull was on the loose on the streets of Grove City Thursday night. The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a loose animal just after 7 p.m. near 7th Street and Maple Lane.
A 4-year-old girl died Wednesday night in central Minnesota, officials say, after becoming wedged between her bed and her bedroom wall.
Authorities said at least six horses and nine dogs were seized from their owner in south central Minnesota Wednesday night after it was determined they were suffering from neglect. The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office had been out to the home on the 24000 block of County State Aid Highway 14 in Darwin, which is in Meeker County just west of Dassel, on a report that some horses had gotten loose.
