Minn. Man Fatally Struck At S. Indiana Truck Stop

Authorities have identified a Minnesota man as the person struck and killed by a vehicle in the dark parking lot of a southern Indiana truck stop. The Clark County Coroner’s Office said Friday that 58-year-old Billy Ray Evans of Hill City, Minn., died at the scene when he was hit by a large truck. Evans was found on the ground Thursday night at a truck stop just off Interstate 65 near the town of Memphis, about 15 miles north of Louisville, Ky.

Delta To Drop Memphis As Hub Airport

Delta Air Lines Inc. is dropping Memphis, Tenn., as a hub airport starting this fall. The airline says the Memphis hub is not making money. It’s cutting daily flights there to 60 per day from the current 96. It’s also cutting 230 jobs.
