States Seek Delay In Protecting Long-Eared Bat

Four states in the Upper Midwest want federal officials to delay listing the northern long-eared bat as an endangered species. Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin made the request this month to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Two missing snowmobilers from Minnesota have been found alive in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The Civil Air Patrol of Michigan says the men were discovered Monday afternoon near the Porcupine Mountains State Park in Ontonagon County in the western Upper Peninsula.

Man Who Caused Stillwater Bomb Scare Charged With Aggravated Robbery

A Michigan man was charged Monday with 2nd-degree aggravated robbery after robbing a bank Saturday morning with a fake bomb – which shutdown a part of downtown Stillwater for hours. According to a complaint filed in Washington County, 65-year-old David Michael Tyler traveled from his town of Cheboygan, Mich. to Minnesota in order to rob a bank. Tyler says he decided to rob a bank because he owes $90,000 in child support payments and felt he had no other option.
