Mike Reilly of the University of Minnesota men’s hockey team was named the Big Ten’s First Star of the Week on Tuesday after the Gophers took four out of a possible six league points at Michigan State last weekend.
After a 5-0 win Friday night, the No. 1-ranked University of Minnesota men’s hockey team completed a weekend sweep of Notre Dame Sunday with a 4-2 win at Mariucci Arena. The Gophers (7-1-0) scored three first-period goals in the win. They also extended their home winning streak, the longest currently in college hockey, to 17 games.
