Million Dollar Quartet
Everything about “Million Dollar Quartet,” which opened Tuesday night at the State Theatre in Minneapolis, is slightly unbelievable.
It was a once in a million alignment of the stars. Four giants at a chance meeting at Sun Record Studios in Memphis, Tennessee and an impromptu jam session that would, unknowingly at the time, become one of the greatest moments in rock-and-roll history.
Producers said Tuesday they’ll be moving the show off-Broadway to New World Stages on 50th Street in July after more than a year performing at the Nederlander Theatre.
It’s another great season to be a Broadway fan in Minneapolis.
