Minneapolis Downtown Improvement District
It’s been just about two months since the All-Star game was played at Target Field, but Minneapolis Police are just now getting an idea of how much it cost them. It took about 700 police personnel to keep downtown safe during the days leading up to the game.
Looking for a way to overcome some of this year’s problems, a citizens advisory council presented a plan for Minneapolis police for 2014. Chief Janeé Harteau assembled the 50 member group this year to improve relations between the police department and the community.
