Minneapolis Police Seek Help To Find Missing Man

The Minneapolis Police Department is asking for the public’s help to find a man who hasn’t been seen in about a week. Authorities said Joe Zurnieden, 42, was last seen on July 1 at his residence at about 6 a.m.

Police: 2 Hurt In Minneapolis Stabbings, No Arrests Made

Authorities said two people were hospitalized in a pair of stabbings Sunday morning in Minneapolis and they are seeking information on suspects. Police were called to a report of a stabbing at about 12:43 a.m. on the 1000 block of Currie Avenue.

2 Dead, 4 Wounded In 3 Overnight Mpls. Shootings

Three separate shooting incidents in Minneapolis leave two dead and four others wounded early Saturday morning, according to Minneapolis Police. The first shooting happened just after midnight at a residence on the 3400 block of Dupont Avenue North. When police arrived, they found the victim had already died. Two other men were also wounded but are expected to survive. An adult male has been taken into custody for this shooting. The male was one of the two men taken to the hospital.

Police: 14-Year-Old Beaten With A Lock, Tased By Group Of Teen Girls

A 14-year-old girl was allegedly assaulted in Folwell Park in Minneapolis by a group of teenagers around 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 2. According to Minneapolis Parks and Recreation, the teen, who is a Teen Teamworks employee, was surrounded by a group of approximately 15 teenage girls. The main aggressor then allegedly began hitting the victim with a lock.

Police: U Of M Student Molested While Walking Home

Police are investigating after a female University of Minnesota student was allegedly molested Friday evening while walking to her home near campus. According to police, around 9:20 p.m. the victim was walking to her home near Fulton Street SE and Ontario Street SE. Upon reaching her building, the victim said a man, who she believed was following her, reached out and grabbed her butt over her clothes.

Mpls. Man Who Died From Gunshot To Neck ID’d

A Minneapolis man who was shot to death Monday night has been identified by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office. Steven Montrell Martin, 37, was found with a gunshot wound to the neck by Minneapolis Police at about 10:45 p.m. in front of a home on the 3300 block of Penn Avenue North.

Police were called at about 10:47 p.m. on a report of a fight in the street on the 3300 block of Penn Avenue North. While officers were on the way to the scene, a report of shots fired came in.

One man was sent to the hospital after being shot in North Minneapolis early Saturday morning. Police responded to a call around 1 a.m. of a shooting in the 4900 block of Camden Avenue North. The victim was taken to North Memorial hospital with serious injuries.

3 Indicted In Drug-Related Mpls. Murder

Three people are indicted of first-degree premeditated murder in the drug-related shooting death of a Minneapolis man in March. Maureen Onyelobi, David Johnson and Maurice Wilson were indicted Friday by a grand jury, according to the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office.

Man Hurt After Being Pinned Under Car In Minneapolis

Authorities said a 43-year-old man suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries after getting pinned underneath his own car in Minneapolis early Sunday morning. Police were called to the area of Girard Terrace and N. 4th Avenue at about 2 a.m. on a report of a man pinned under a car.
