Minnesota State Fair
After travelling a single block at the Minnesota State Fair, it’s clear “The Great Minnesota Get-Together” is a gathering meant for all. Brienna Schuette, the Minnesota State Fair’s marketing and communication director, says they make changes every year to insure increased accessibility.
For the second time this year, the Minnesota State Fair has broken a record for daily attendance. According to recently released figures, 252,092 entered the gates at the fair on Saturday, which breaks the previous record for the 10th day.
Sunday is Minnesota History Day at the Minnesota State Fair. There will be entertainment, trivia, crafts and more activates that celebrate Minnesota History at Carousel Park.

Friday was MPR Day at the Great Minnesota Get-Together. MPR did live radio broadcasts at Carousel Park throughout the day. And despite the weather there were still plenty of things going on in the rain, and plenty of stories to share.
For most visitors at the State Fair, cheese curds are one of the absolute must-eat foods. Turning out 2.6 million curds takes a great staff to keep up with demand. For 40 years the original deep fried cheese curd has served up a state fair favorite.

She feels that people are using their phones more and more to not only navigate the fair, but also to share their fair experience.
