A St. Cloud woman was taken to the hospital after being hit with a hammer, stabbed multiple times and threatened with a handgun.
Authorities say one person was killed Tuesday night after a head-on crash on Highway 12 west of the Twin Cities. The Medina Police Department responded to an accident on Highway 12 at about 9:45 p.m. involving a car and a semi-truck about one mile east of Maple Plan.
Authorities say there are no injuries and no hazardous spills resulting from a train derailment on the Burlington Northern line in Otter Tail County. Sheriff’s officials say 18 cars derailed about 6:30 a.m. along Highway 10 near Bluffton.

Authorities say a crash involving a semi-truck Friday morning has the westbound lanes of Interstate 94 blocked near Rothsay. The Minnesota State Patrol responded to a three-vehicle crash just after 4 a.m. on I-94 near Rothsay in Otter Tail County. Rothsay is located near Fergus Falls.
A 31-year-old Monticello woman was killed Thursday night in a one-vehicle crash near St. Cloud, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Authorities responded at about 7:34 p.m. to the area of eastbound Interstate 94 and soutbound Highway 15 on a report of a crash.
