A new study heralds Minnesotans as the safest drivers in the nation. The website CarInsuranceComparison.com compiled data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, looking at things like traffic violations, drunk driving, careless driving and deadly crashes.
A Minnesota soldier who had been unaccounted for from the Korean War has been identified. Army Sgt. 1st Class Gordon Hannah of Grand Rapids was listed as “missing in action” after a battle in January of 1951.
President Barack Obama’s nomination of B. Todd Jones to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has been sent to the full Senate. Obama picked Jones to lead the ATF following the mass shooting in December at a Connecticut elementary school where 20 children and six adults were killed.
