The search for a missing 83-year-old woman in central Minnesota is canceled after her body was found early Friday evening, officials say. Police in Melrose, Minn., had asked the public to help find Clara Pundsack after she went missing Thursday afternoon.
Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Foley man. According to the Benton County Sheriff’s office, Jamie Robert Wylie, 31, was reported missing on Dec. 15. The last time he had contact with anyone was via cell phone on Dec. 9. Wylie’s wife and friends say he was last seen leaving a friend’s home in St. Cloud, and he was upset at the time.
Within three hours after the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension released a missing endangered person alert for a Forest Lake teen, she announced on her Facebook page that she’s safe and has talked with her parents. According to Chisago County Sheriff’s office, 18-year-old Jade Alexandra Kelm was last seen early Sunday morning at Sunrise Estates Trailer Court in Stacy in the company of her boyfriend, 19-year-old Ryley Thomas Olson of North Branch. On Monday afternoon, Kelm announced “I’m fine and I contacted my parents.”
Family members and volunteers are searching again in the southern Twin Cities suburbs for a University of Minnesota student who’s been missing since the night her ex-boyfriend killed another man outside a Burnsville bar. Anna Rae Schunk reconnected with Shavelle Chavez-Nelson, 31, in hopes of recovering a $5,000 loan he never repaid, but it may have been a fatal mistake for the 20-year-old. Schunk’s brother says police told their family they found his sister’s white jacket with a U of M logo, covered with blood and 18 to 20 holes that may indicate she was stabbed.
Family members of 20-year-old Anarae Schunk are combing an area near the Mississippi River for her body, according to the Facebook page created for her search effort. People are searching for the missing University of Minnesota student near Pickerel Lake in Lilydale, as well as areas in the vicinity of Highway 46 near Rosemount and Farmington. Burnsville Police told Schunk’s family Saturday that they are certain she’s dead. They have not yet disclosed what evidence points to that conclusion.

An 84-year-old Eagan woman has been found safe after she went missing Wednesday. Lois Hardt was last seen leaving Southtown Bowling Lanes in Bloomington on Wednesday afternoon. Eagan Police say Hardt was found Thursday evening in Carver County.
The Blaine Police Department says they found a missing person’s body in the afternoon hours of Saturday.
Police are investigating the death of a 64-year-old woman who went missing and was then found in Freeborn Lake on Monday morning. Officers were first notified of the woman’s disappearance after a vehicle was reported empty at Arrowhead Park.

Authorities in Colorado have made an arrest in the murder of 51-year woman with Minnesota ties. According to the Wheat Ridge Police Department, 54-year-old Melissa Miller was arrested Monday for the murder of Leann Meyer, whose remains were found near a cabin in Park County, Colo. on July 4. Miller is being held without bond at the Park County Detention Facility. Meyer had family in St. Peter, Minn.
A former Minnesota resident has been missing in Montana for almost a week. According to the Ravalli County Sheriff’s office in Hamilton, Mont., 53-year-old David Philip Kaiser was last seen on June 28, and was reported missing the next day. Kaiser is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and 200 pounds. He has blond hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark blue polo shirt, blue jeans and red and white tennis shoes.
One person is missing after a towboat went over the rollers of the Dresbach dam in eastern Minnesota. La Crescent firefighter Cassie Buehler says three people were involved altogether but she doesn’t know the condition of the other two people.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help in finding a 27-year-old Crosby man. Twenty-seven-year-old Jesse Larson has been missing since last Thursday night, when he left his parents’ home in his vehicle with two dogs. The vehicle and one of the dogs were located on his parents’ property on Prushek Road in Crosby.
