Judge Issues Gag Order In Hockey Sex Video Case

A judge has issued a gag order in the case of two Nebraska hockey players charged with making a sex video with a 15-year-old girl at a Moorhead motel last winter. KFGO-AM reports Judge Michael Fritz says there is a “substantial likelihood of prejudicing the jury” if attorneys continue talking publicly about the case.

Moorhead Fire Marshal Suspects Arson In Apt. Blaze

A reward is being offered for information about a suspected arson at a Moorhead apartment building Monday morning. Crews responded at 6:30 a.m. to an apartment fire at 2408 3rd Avenue North. No one was hurt, and firefighters were able to quickly put out the blaze.

A Moorhead man has pleaded not guilty to charges he ran an unlicensed tattoo shop. Prosecutors say 35-year-old Ralph Curiel set up the business in his Moorhead apartment. Most of his customers were teenage girls.

Authorities Seek Suspect After Driver Nearly Hit By Bullets

Moorhead authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a man suspected of shooting at a driver and nearly striking him. On Sunday morning at around 9:30 a.m., Moorhead Police were contacted by a victim reporting to have been shot at. The north Moorhead resident said his vehicle was damaged by gunfire when he was attempting to drive away from a man that he knew.

For 3rd Time, Moorhead Water Is ‘Best In Glass’

Raise a toast to Moorhead’s drinking water — it’s been judged the best-tasting in Minnesota. Moorhead water was awarded “Best in Glass” this week at the annual convention of the Minnesota chapter of the American Water Works Association in Duluth. It was the third time Moorhead has won the award.

MSU Student Charged With Dorm Rape

A student at Minnesota State University Moorhead is facing criminal charges after being accused of raping an 18-year-old girl during a night of drinking in a dorm. According to the Clay County Attorney’s Office, 23-year-old Angel Mario Vega is charged with one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of providing liquor to someone under 21.
