Police in Moorhead, Minnesota are asking for the public’s help in identifying the body of a man found in the Red River last week. The body was spotted by a boater on Monday, Sept. 29, and later recovered by the Moorhead Fire Department under the train bridge near Memorial Park.

Authorities Seek Suspect After Driver Nearly Hit By Bullets

Moorhead authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a man suspected of shooting at a driver and nearly striking him. On Sunday morning at around 9:30 a.m., Moorhead Police were contacted by a victim reporting to have been shot at. The north Moorhead resident said his vehicle was damaged by gunfire when he was attempting to drive away from a man that he knew.

For 3rd Time, Moorhead Water Is ‘Best In Glass’

Raise a toast to Moorhead’s drinking water — it’s been judged the best-tasting in Minnesota. Moorhead water was awarded “Best in Glass” this week at the annual convention of the Minnesota chapter of the American Water Works Association in Duluth. It was the third time Moorhead has won the award.

MSU Student Charged With Dorm Rape

A student at Minnesota State University Moorhead is facing criminal charges after being accused of raping an 18-year-old girl during a night of drinking in a dorm. According to the Clay County Attorney’s Office, 23-year-old Angel Mario Vega is charged with one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of providing liquor to someone under 21.

Moorhead police say no one was hurt when an 80-year-old man drove a car into a house. Police say the Moorhead man was backing out of a driveway late Monday morning when he says his foot got stuck on the accelerator. The car struck another vehicle in the driveway, crossed the street and struck the front steps on the house before ending up in the living room wall.

Two families are safe after a church where they lived caught fire in Moorhead, Minn. early Monday morning. Firefighters were called around 5:30 a.m. to a fire at the Moorhead Baptist Church at 512 Highway 75 North. According to authorities, firefighters believe the fire started in the center of the building and moved into the attic space.

Man Gets 2 Life Terms For Fargo Double Homicide

A man convicted in the November stabbing deaths of his ex-girlfriend and another man in Fargo has been sentenced to two life terms without parole. David Stevens was sentenced Friday afternoon. He pleaded guilty in January to killing 23-year-old Samantha Wickenheiser, of Fargo, and 30-year-old Ward Berg, of Moorhead, Minnesota, in Wickenheiser’s north Fargo apartment.

Charges: 2 Hockey Players Used Minor In Sex Video

Two members of the USHL’s Lincoln Stars are accused of using a 15-year-old girl to make a sex video in a Minnesota motel room. Thomas Carey and Brandon Smith, both 19, were each charged Tuesday in Clay County with using a minor in a sexual performance, possession of child pornography and distributing pornography, all felonies.
