Charges: Man Stole Car, Impersonated Sheriff’s Deputy

An Andover man was behind bars Monday, accused of stealing a car from a car dealership. According to the criminal complaint, 24-year-old Delroy Bowe walked into the New Brighton Ford dealership Thursday afternoon and asked to test drive a 2013 Explorer.

State Baseball: All 3 Defending Champs Return

All three champions from last year have returned to the Minnesota state high school baseball tournament to defend their titles. BOLD in Class 1A, Kasson-Mantorville in Class 2A and Mounds View in Class 3A each qualified again this season. The tournament begins Thursday, with Class 1A games in Chaska and Jordan, Class 2A games in St. Cloud and Class 3A games in St. Paul and Minneapolis.

Authorities are on the scene of an accident between a car and a school bus Wednesday morning in the north Twin Cities metro. Ramsey County Dispatch has confirmed that a crash happened Wednesday morning near Silver Lake Road and County Road H2 in Mounds View.

Xcel Energy: Faulty Breaker Caused Large Power Outage In North Metro

Officials with Xcel Energy said power was knocked out more than 12,000 customers in the north Twin Cities metro late Thursday morning and crews are working to restore it. Tom Hoen with Xcel Energy said the outages happened shortly before noon Thursday in the communities of Fridley, Columbia Heights, Coon Rapids and Mounds View.

Man Charged In Fatal Mounds View Stabbing

A 51-year-old man is charged with two counts of second-degree murder after police say he fatally stabbed a man with a pair of scissors. Stephen Edward Gooler, of Minneapolis, said he was “blacked out” and doesn’t remember anything.

Police: 1 Dead, 1 Hurt In Mounds View Stabbing

Police are investigating after one person was found dead and another was hurt in a stabbing in the north Twin Cities metro Thursday night. Mounds View Police were called to an apartment on the 7700 block of Silver Lake Road at about 8:45 p.m. Thursday on a report of a stabbing.

Mounds View Beats Rocori 8-0 For 3A Title

Max Knutson gave up only four hits as Mounds View shut out Rocori of Cold Spring 8-0 for the Class 3A state championship at Target Field on Monday. Knutson struck out nine Spartan batters and yielded only one base on balls during the seven-inning game. He threw 90 pitches, 60 for strikes. The Mustangs (20-6) tagged three different Rocori pitchers for 14 hits, plus getting four walks.
