The father of a Scottsdale woman found killed in her home says he hasn’t been able to sleep, instead imagining what could have happened to his daughter. Harley Feldman said Friday that Scottsdale police told him they don’t know yet whether 31-year-old Allison Feldman was a random victim of an attack.

A 25-year-old man faces murder charges in connection to the stabbing death of a 35-year-old Redby woman, who was found in a pool of blood in a Bemidji street Friday night. The Beltrami County Attorney’s office says Brian Keith Jourdain, of Bemidji, was charged Tuesday with two counts of second-degree murder.

Man Charged In Synthetic Drug Death Of Duluth Woman

A 27-year-old Eveleth man faces third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter charges in connection with the synthetic drug-related death of a Duluth woman in 2013. The St. Louis County Sheriff’s office says Bryan Joseph Hodapp is accused of supplying 21-year-old Leann Wicklund with the substance called 25I-NBOMe, a psychedelic synthetic drug, on Aug. 30, 2013.

The Maplewood Police Chief says it’s one of the worst cases of child abuse, he’s seen. The suspect, 35-year-old Leb Meak is charged with second degree murder in the death of his girlfriend’s 18-month-old girl. Police found the child, not breathing, in Meak’s home Thursday.

Conrade Pleads Guilty To Helping Boyfriend After Killings

A 25-year-old Rosemount woman pleaded guilty Friday to helping her boyfriend after he killed two people within a few hours in 2013. Ashley Marie Conrade pleaded guilty to two counts of aiding an offender after the fact in connection with the murders of 23-year-old Palagor Jobi and 20-year-old Anarae Schunk. Murder charges were dropped as part of her plea deal.

The number of people in Minnesota who were killed in acts of domestic violence last year is down compared to the year before. The Minnesota Coalition for Battered Women says 23 people were killed due to domestic violence in the state in 2014, which compares to a total of 37 victims in 2013.

A Deer River man was indicted Friday on murder charges in connection with the biting death of his 3-month-old son – which he blamed on the neighbor’s dog. Emery James Jenkins, 38, faces two charged of first-degree murder and one second-degree murder charge for the death of his son on Oct. 18, 2014, according to the Itasca County Attorney’s office.

A Newport woman pleaded guilty Friday to third-degree murder in the methadone-overdose death of her husband in 2013, according to the Ramsey County Attorney’s office. Forty-four-year-old Jennifer Marie Johnson is accused of injecting her husband — 32-year-old Dennis Parmuat — with a fatal dose of her methadone in the early morning of March 30, 2013.

The man accused of killing his former boyfriend and business partner in an Arden Hills gas station parking lot last summer has pleaded guilty Friday afternoon. Lyle “Ty” Hoffman, 44, is accused of fatally shooting 48-year-old Kelly Phillips at a gas station on Aug. 11, 2014. He became the subject of a month-long manhunt following Phillips’ death.

A gun found during a routine traffic stop in north Minneapolis lead to charges in an unsolved northeast Minneapolis murder. Eulalio Gonzalez-Sanchez, 36, had just gotten off a city bus near 22nd Avenue Northeast and 7th Street Northeast back in September. It was early on a Sunday morning when he was shot and killed. Investigators believe it was a robbery gone bad.

Byron Smith Must Pay $21K To Teens’ Families

A Minnesota man convicted of killing two unarmed teenagers who broke into his home in 2012 has been ordered to pay more than $21,000 in restitution to the victims’ families. Sixty-six-year-old Byron Smith was convicted in April of first-degree premeditated murder in the deaths of 17-year-old Nick Brady and 18-year-old Haile Kifer. Smith was sentenced to life in prison without parole. He is appealing.
