Police: Man Charged In 2 ND Killings Did Not Know 2nd Victim

A man accused of killing two people at separate Fargo apartments less than a day apart didn’t know the second victim, who was bludgeoned to death with a hammer after he brought the suspect a glass of water, police said Wednesday. Ashley Kenneth Hunter, 35, is charged with two counts of murder in the deaths of 45-year-old Clarence Flowers and 24-year-old Samuel Traut.

Man Guilty Of Killing Attorney Now Charged In Bank Robbery

A Minneapolis man who pleaded guilty to fatally shooting his ex-boyfriend and business partner at an Arden Hills gas station last summer is now charged with armed bank robbery. Lyle “Ty” Hoffman was sentenced earlier this year to more than 25 years in state prison for the Aug. 11 death of 48-year-old Kelly Phillips, an attorney for medical device maker Boston Scientific.

Hibbing Man Pleads Guilty To Manslaughter In Toddler’s Death

A 27-year-old Hibbing man struck a plea deal with prosecutors after admitting to causing the death of a 2-year-old girl in 2012. The St. Louis County Attorney’s office says Russell Shannon Johnson pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in the death of Caroline Shenze Marie Medicine-Chavez.

A Chicago man has pleaded guilty in a double shooting that left two men dead in North Minneapolis in April. Brian Deshawn Morse was charged with two counts of second-degree murder in the incident.

Vegas Man Held In Slaying Of Deaf Poker Player From Minn.

Authorities in Las Vegas are linking the slaying of a Deaf Minnesota poker player to a botched attempt to buy 10 pounds of marijuana from two men in the parking lot of an apartment complex several blocks east of the Strip. An arrest report made public Monday says 39-year-old John Cyril Collins of Lake Crystal, Minnesota, died May 11, shortly after he was shot in the chest in a Cadillac sedan that he and his girlfriend drove to Nevada to buy pot.

Police Arrest Man In Minneapolis, Charge Him With Iowa Death

Authorities have arrested a man in Minneapolis in the shooting death of another man in northern Iowa. The Emmet County Sheriff’s Department announced Monday that police arrested 18-year-old Lee Samuel Christensen in Minneapolis and charged him with first-degree murder in the death of 19-year-old Thomas Bortvit.

A grand jury has indicted Barway Collins’ father on first-degree premeditated murder charges in the 10-year-old boy’s death, according to court documents. Collins vanished from Crystal one day after school in April, only to later be found dead in the Mississippi River.
