A judge has ordered the Wisconsin man who was convicted of killing his three daughters in Wisconsin to pay restitution to his ex-wife. Last year, Aaron Schaffhausen was handed three consecutive life sentences for the murders of 11-year-old Amara, 8-year-old Sophie and 5-year-old Cecilia at their River Falls home.
A 44-year-old Newport woman faces a murder charge in connection to her husband’s drug overdose death, according to the Washington County Attorney’s Office announced.
Authorities in northern Minnesota have a suspect in custody after a 55-year-old man was murdered on Monday. According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s office, the Babbitt Police Department responded to a medical emergency call just after 11 a.m. and found Paul John Bulen lying injured on a road. Bulen was brought to an Ely hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police arrested 24-year-old Shawn Russel Doherty, who is currently being held in the St. Louis County Jail

The death of a 64-year-old Montevideo man has officially been ruled a homicide by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner on Saturday. Thomas Dickson was found dead Monday evening in his apartment on the 100 block of west Canyon Avenue. A man accused of killing two young women is now facing a sexual assault charge in Anoka County. Alberto Palmer had been charged with premeditated first-degree murder in the death of 18-year-old Brittany Clardy. Her body was found Feb. 19 in a car at an impound lot.
Police are teaming up with Crime Stoppers to solve a homicide that happened in the summer of 2012. Lois Swenson was found murdered in her north Minneapolis home on June 13, 2012. Lt Richard Zimmerman believes Swenson had helped the suspect in the past. He said there is a man who knows the suspect, and they hope he comes forward.
A Chisago County grand jury has indicted 29-year-old Aaron Jude Schnagl on third-degree murder charges in the death of Danielle Jelinek. Jelinek was 27 years old when she went missing on Dec. 9, 2012.

A Maplewood man who led police on a high-speed chase is the prime suspect in a murder, according to police. The murder happened at a home located on 855 E. 4th St. in St. Paul. On Tuesday, Nov. 26, police responded to the home and found the victim dead from a single gunshot wound to the head.
