Dany Heatley had a goal and an assist, Darcy Kuemper made 23 saves for his first career shutout, and the Minnesota Wild beat the Nashville Predators 4-0 on Sunday night. Jason Zucker and Matt Cooke also scored for Minnesota, which has won five of six.

Harding Earns Shutout; Wild Beat Predators 2-0

Josh Harding stopped 16 shots for his first shutout of the season and the Minnesota Wild beat the Nashville Predators 2-0 Tuesday night. Justin Fontaine scored late in the second period and Jason Pominville added an empty-net tally for the Wild, who have scored just seven goals in the past five games.

100 Veterans Enjoy A Free Day On The Links

The 9th annual “Tee it Up for the Troops” event brought out more than 1,000 golfers to the Mendakota Country Club in Mendota Heights Friday. The event allowed more than 100 veterans and Purple Heart recipients to golf for free in a show of appreciation for their service. The first swing on the tee box marks the start of an 18-hole challenge. Mike Reeder, a Vietnam War veteran who is visiting from Nashville, Tenn., had nothing but confidence as he began his game.

A federal judge has sentenced a witness who refused to testify in a sex trafficking case to 15 months in prison. Abdullahi Farah, a Somali refugee and former gang member, repeatedly refused to testify, saying he is afraid for himself and for his family.
