A MN Prep Football First: ESPN To Televise Stillwater Vs. Cretin-Derham

It’s a Minnesota first — two metro high school football teams will play in front of the nation tomorrow night. The local football scene is in the spotlight because of Jashon Cornell, the Cretin-Derham Hall defensive end is ranked as the No. 1 2015 recruit in the country, according to ESPN.

Good Question: Why Such A Large Achievement Gap In MN Classrooms?

ACT scores are out for Minnesota students and, overall, Minnesota ranks No. 1 in the country. But, a closer look at the numbers reveals a huge gap when it comes to race. Sixty-one percent of white students met college readiness standards compared to 16 percent of black students. That’s not the only test where Minnesotans fall behind.
