NBA All Star Weekend
The Minnesota Timberwolves don’t have anyone playing in this year’s NBA All-Star Game at Madison Square Garden in New York City, but there are still plenty of reasons for fans to be interested.
The Minnesota Timberwolves announced Wednesday they’ll have four players representing the team in the Rising Stars Challenge as part of the NBA’s All-Star Weekend in February.
The NBA announced Thursday night that Timberwolves Kevin Love will compete in the three-point shootout that’s part of All-Star Weekend. Love won the three-point contest back in 2012 and was recently voted by fans to be a starter in this year’s All-Star Game.
Minnesota Timberwolves forward Derrick Williams will participate in the slam dunk contest Saturday night as part of the NBA All-Star weekend. He’s got a plan, and he’s keeping it close to the vest.
The Minnesota Timberwolves’ improvement on the court is coming with a nice little side benefit. The franchise is well-represented at this weekend’s All-Star festivities in Orlando, Fla.
