NCAA Super Regional
Janie Takeda drove in three runs on two hits and the Oregon Ducks advanced to the women’s College World Series with a 6-2 victory over Minnesota Sunday in their NCAA Super Regional. The top-seeded Ducks (54-7-1) are making their second trip to the College World Series in three seasons. The Ducks will face eight-seeded Florida State when the tournament gets underway on Thursday in Oklahoma City.
The Gopher softball team has been impressive again, winning its way to the NCAA Super Regional. And that is where the next challenge becomes significant. They are thrilled to be practicing this week, which means the program has again advanced.
