The Minnesota Vikings host the Carolina Panthers in their first game since beating the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4. The Panthers and Vikings have a combined 2-6 record with wins over winless teams. The Panthers are led by quarterback Cam Newton on offense and middle linebacker Luke Kuechly on defense.

The Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority completed a portion of the terms that could lead to the team’s new stadium. The most important part of the two documents for fans is the Stadium Builder’s License. There has been strong opposition to the use of them, but they have become a part of professional sports.

Harrison Smith is likely going to get the fine of his young career following an unnecessary roughness penalty for a helmet-to-helmet hit in the Minnesota Vikings victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. While the safety is prepared for the fine, he is not sure it is right. Blair Walsh set the Vikings career record for 50-plus-yard field goals. The Vikings were forced to start two new starters in the secondary after Chris Cook and Jamarca Sanford were ruled out.

Matt Cassel Leads The Minnesota Vikings To First Win Of The Season

Christian Ponder’s broken ribs forced the Minnesota Vikings to start backup quarterback Matt Cassel. The nine-year veteran led the team to a 34-27 victory. The Vikings finally have something to build on this season with the consistent and trustworthy quarterback. The defense made a big play when it needed to and the special teams made plays – some good and some bad.

Sore Ribs Put Christian Ponder’s Status For Vikings Game In London In Doubt

Christian Ponder injured his ribs in last week’s loss to the Cleveland Browns, which leaves his status for the Minnesota Vikings’ Week 4 contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers in doubt. Kevin Williams Misses Another Practice For The Minnesota Vikings

Defensive tackle Kevin Williams was the only Minnesota Vikings to miss practice Thursday. Safety Harrison Smith and McLeod Bethel-Thompson were the only players to have their practice status change from Wednesday to Thursday. Three players were full participants both days despite injuries and five were limited both days.

Minnesota Vikings Claim J’Marcus Webb, Finalize Practice Squad

The Minnesota Vikings claimed former Chicago Bears offensive tackle J’Marcus Webb and released Troy Kropog Sunday. Head coach Leslie Frazier said that he would talk about injuries on Wednesday, including the right knee of Kevin Williams. The Vikings filled their practice squad roster with eight players.
