The Minnesota Zoo is preparing a birthday party for Nikko, a 31-year-old snow monkey that’s believed to be the oldest in North America.
North America’s oldest living male snow monkey is celebrating another year at the Minnesota Zoo. Nikko was born in September, the zoo said, making the unusually chill macaque is now 30 years old. Tropics Trail Supervisor Tom Ness said that Nikko’s calm debonair has probably helped him reach the milestone birthday.
