It seems Minneapolis’ oldest bar may have closed its doors for good. On Tuesday, would-be customers and passersby noticed that Pracna on Main was closed. The bar and restaurant was built in 1890 and sat along the cobblestones of the city’s oldest street.

Eulalio Gonzalez-Sanchez, 36, had just gotten off a city bus near 22nd Avenue Northeast and 7th Street Northeast back in September. It was early on a Sunday morning when he was shot and killed. Investigators believe it was a robbery gone bad.
Two people were rescued from an island in the Mississippi River near northeast Minneapolis Tuesday afternoon. According to the Minneapolis Fire Department, two people became stranded after walking out to an island just west of Marshall Terrace Park near Marshall Street Northeast and 28th Avenue Northeast.
