Fmr. Cattle Farmer Starts MN’s 1st Salt Water Shrimp Farm

Minnesotans will not have to go too far to get a taste of the ocean. In the middle of Wabasha County’s vast farmland, now sits Minnesota’s first salt water shrimp farm. Chad Axley use to raise cattle, but he decided he wanted to do something no one else was doing.

The World’s Biggest Ship Graveyard

Nouadhibou is an African sea town, whose shores serve as the final resting place for more than 300 ships. The rusted hulks that litter its coastal waters are considered an eyesore by many (go figure), but they’ve brought some unexpected benefits to the local community as well.
