Sheriff: Missing Ohio Woman’s Car Found In Rice Co.

The Rice County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to find a missing Ohio woman. A deputy found an abandoned car Monday night in a parking lot at Shagger Park on Cannon Lake. When they ran the plates, they discovered the car belonged to 24-year-old Chelsea Martinez from Columbus, Ohio.

Mom Who Skipped Parental Exchange Arrested In Ohio

A 44-year-old woman who violated a court-ordered parental exchange in Wisconsin is in custody after being arrested in Ohio, according to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office. Amy Winterfeldt was supposed to bring her 4-year-old son to his father in Appleton, Wis. on July 12, but never showed up.

Ohio Man Charged With Sexual Assault Of Minor

A 22-year-old man appeared in St. Croix County Circuit Court Monday afternoon after he was charged with the sexual assault of a minor on Saturday. According to New Richmond Police, an officer noticed a vehicle parked in Woodland Creek Park shortly after 1 a.m. on Saturday with Ohio license plates. The officer found two males undressed inside, and after questioning found their ages were 22 and 15.

Minnesota freshman Taylor Cammarata gave his home state’s biggest hockey crowd their only reason to cheer on Friday. Cammarata’s second period goal was the difference as Minnesota held off Ohio State 1-0 in the Hockey City Classic, played before an outdoor crowd of 45,021 at TCF Bank Stadium.

Ohio Man Who Held 3 Women Captive Commits Suicide

Ohio corrections officials say Ariel Castro who held three women captive in his home for nearly a decade has committed suicide at a state prison facility. Spokeswoman JoEllen Smith says 53-year-old Castro was found hanging in his cell around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday at the Correctional Reception Center in Orient.

Minnesota Man Dies At Site Of New Ohio Pipeline

Authorities say a 31-year-old worker from northern Minnesota died after an accident at a gas pipeline construction site in far eastern Ohio. Investigators from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department say the man was driving a pipe loader on a hill Thursday and tried to jump from it when he thought it was sliding into a ditch.
