An Ohio man died Thursday after a car accident near Rogers, Minn. According to police the accident occurred just before 6 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of southbound Highway 1010 and South Diamond Lake Road.

A 22-year-old man appeared in St. Croix County Circuit Court Monday afternoon after he was charged with the sexual assault of a minor on Saturday. According to New Richmond Police, an officer noticed a vehicle parked in Woodland Creek Park shortly after 1 a.m. on Saturday with Ohio license plates. The officer found two males undressed inside, and after questioning found their ages were 22 and 15.

Ohio corrections officials say Ariel Castro who held three women captive in his home for nearly a decade has committed suicide at a state prison facility. Spokeswoman JoEllen Smith says 53-year-old Castro was found hanging in his cell around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday at the Correctional Reception Center in Orient.
Authorities say a 31-year-old worker from northern Minnesota died after an accident at a gas pipeline construction site in far eastern Ohio. Investigators from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department say the man was driving a pipe loader on a hill Thursday and tried to jump from it when he thought it was sliding into a ditch.
