Two skydivers had to be rescued after they landed off the shore of Lake Superior Saturday, according to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office.
Emergency personnel responded to two separate water emergency calls on Lake Superior Monday at Tot Lot Beach on Duluth’s Park Point. According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, the water emergencies involved four swimmers in distress, and one would-be rescuer in distress. One incident was reported around 11:30 a.m., and the second around 4 p.m.
A mother and her two young children were rescued from Lake Superior after they were swept away by a rip current.
