Christmas is less than two weeks away, which means you’re running out of time to get those presents shipped. The U.S. Post Office is opening several Twin Cities locations for the next two Sundays — including this Sunday — to help with the hustle of the holidays. These are the post office locations that will be open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Union postal workers are protesting outside Staples in the Twin Cities because of an agreement reached between the U.S Postal Service and Staples, which would put outlets in the stores. Jerry Sirois, president of the local union, says they have a number of concerns about protecting the sanctity of the mail.
They call it Operation Medicine Delivery. On Sunday, postal carriers will deliver a simulated supply of medicine in four zip codes.
