Woman Sues Duluth Diocese, Alleges Priest Abused HerA Minnesota woman who says she was sexually abused by a priest in the 1960s has filed a lawsuit against the Diocese of Duluth. In the lawsuit, Quin Buchtel accuses the Rev. Charles Gormly of abusing her while he was at St. Francis of Assisi in Brainerd. She says it took place from about 1960 to 1961, and that she was 12 to 13 years old at the time. Gormly died in 1968.

According to the Ramsey County Attorney's Office, St. Paul Police conducted an "extensive investigation" surrounding the allegation that Nienstedt inappropriately touched a boy during a photo session at a confirmation ceremony at the Cathedral of Saint Paul on May 5, 2009.
Teen Molested By Priest Sues ArchdioceseA teenage boy who was molested by the Rev. Curtis Wehmeyer from 2008 through 2011 sued the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis on Thursday, alleging it conspired to protect the priest from criminal prosecution and conceal his history of sexual misconduct from the public. The lawsuit comes one day after Ramsey County prosecutors said they wouldn't charge members of the archdiocese for the way they handled allegations against Wehmeyer because there was insufficient evidence to prove anyone failed to immediately report the abuse. Wehmeyer pleaded guilty in 2012 and is serving a five-year prison sentence.
