Coin Dealer Sentenced To Prison For Bilking Investors Out Of $3.3M

A 53-year-old Excelsior coin dealer was sentenced Thursday in federal court for defrauding customers and investors out of more than $3.3 million. David Laurence Marion was sentenced to 60 months in prison for one count of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, and one count of money laundering.

Le Center Man Sentenced To 60 Months In Prison For Child Porn

A 47-year-old Le Center man was sentenced Wednesday in federal court for receiving several videos containing child pornography. Harold Duane Davenport was sentenced to 60 months of prison on one count of receipt of child pornography.

Man Pleads Guilty In Drunken Crash That Killed 3

The Cokato man accused of drunkenly causing a car crash that killed three generations of a family last year pleaded guilty on Tuesday in Kandiyohi County. County Attorney Jenna Fischer said Paul Wickenhauser will serve 67 months in prison – about 5 1/2 years – after pleading guilty to three counts of criminal vehicular homicide.

Minnesota’s Prison Population Among Nation’s Lowest

A new report shows Minnesota’s prison population rate is among the nation’s lowest. The U.S. Department of Justice statistics released Thursday says Maine had the lowest rate of imprisonment at 145 per 100,000 residents.

Man Gets Life In Prison For Gang-Related Shooting In St. Paul

A jury found a 20-year-old man guilty of a gang-related shooting last October that left a woman dead in an SUV in an alley behind a St. Paul church. Joseph Campbell was found guilty Thursday in the death of Neressa Turner on Oct. 14, 2012, the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office said. After the verdict, Campbell was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
