Vikings Want To Use Running Backs Differently The Rest Of The Season

The Minnesota Vikings enter the final three games of the season with two running backs that did not start the season on the active roster. Head coach Mike Zimmer would like to see more of what Joe Banyard and Ben Tate can bring the offense after the two combined for four carries in Sunday’s win over the New York Jets. Also, after 97 scoreless NFL games, Jerome Felton scored his first career NFL touchdown.

Packers’ Lacy Replaces Adrian Peterson In Pro Bowl

Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy will replace Adrian Peterson at the Pro Bowl later this month. The Minnesota Vikings running back can’t participate because of an injury. Lacy set franchise rookie records this season for rushing yards (1,178), rushing touchdowns (11) and rushing attempts (284).

Cordarrelle Patterson Makes Pro Bowl As Kick Returner

The Minnesota Vikings announced Friday that rookie Cordarrelle Patterson has been selected to the Pro Bowl. Patterson was selected to the roster as a return specialist, replacing Antonio Brown of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Brown was also voted to the Pro Bowl as a wide receiver.

Peterson Voted To 6th Pro Bowl

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has been voted to his sixth career Pro Bowl. The NFL made the announcement on Friday night. Voting was done by players, coaches and fans. Peterson has been voted in for all but one of his seven seasons.

The Minnesota Vikings had a disappointing finish to an encouraging season. Jared Allen will undergo surgery on his shoulder after the Pro Bowl later this month. The Vikings now begin preparation for the draft in April and evaluating its 14 free agents.
